The Global Imagery Team was founded to simultaneously bring authenticity, consistency, and very significant cost savings to the company by creating bespoke high value imagery in an internal and centralized way. Previously, product and industry groups invested heavily in globally licensing stock photography for product ID and campaigns, which often lacked relevance to our software and had strict limits on the terms of use. If custom imagery was needed, an agency was hired to deliver flattened assets that could never be built upon further and were seldom shared with the whole company. Our solution? Collaborating with customers that were doing exemplary work to leverage their data. Our exceptionally small but dynamic team, transformed customer data into captivating hero imagery for over 100 products annually in addition to providing imagery for multiple campaigns, tradeshows, exhibitions, and other high value projects. This approach was a win win as our customers also got recognition and exposure for the great work the were doing with Autodesk products. When customer data wasn't available, we worked closely with industry experts to create custom datasets.
